Mr. Benton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served on the Houston Law Review. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2005. Following law school, he clerked for Judge Andrew S. Hanen in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and later practiced at Locke Lord LLP, an international law firm with more than 700 attorneys, before founding his own practice. He has also served as an adjunct professor of business law at the University of Texas at Brownsville and as an Assistant Editor on the Editorial Board of the State Bar Litigation Section Report.
