Mark Arden Casto is a trial attorney and founder of Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm, based in Columbus, Georgia, licensed to practice in Georgia since 1996. BACKGROUND & CREDENTIALS

Casto earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in 1996 and a B.S. in Sports Management from Western Carolina University in 1991. He has been licensed by the State Bar of Georgia since 1996, and is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Georgia, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. Casto began his career as a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s office, where he was assigned to prosecute child victim crimes and served as lead prosecutor in more than 50 jury trials in the Superior Courts of Georgia. He later practiced as a sole practitioner for nearly five years before co-founding the Law Firm of Bennett and Casto in 2006, and founded Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm in April 2016.

APPROACH TO CASES

Casto has direct trial experience, including more than 50 jury trials as a prosecutor and additional trial work in his own practice, and has argued in person before the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. As a policy, the firm does not bring medical malpractice claims directly against treating physicians, instead pursuing claims against hospitals or other negligent parties — a distinction the firm attributes to avoiding conflicts with doctors who also treat its personal injury and workers’ compensation clients.
